When I was taught not to perceive the past as reality, I thought it was like... a philosophical thing about the past passing every instant while we experience maybe a couple milliseconds of lag, or maybe seconds at most.
But as I start studying human behavior, I realize these inertial-stochastic-parrots (humans!) dwell on purported past events that are *years* past. Their lag is horrendous, and their inertia is massive. It's the only thing they can perceive, and they can't change course.
Sadge, but I guess it's exploitable for profit.
