On March 31, 2025, in an Instagram post, Giuffre said that her car collided with a school bus traveling at 110 km/h (70 mph). She said that despite being "banged up and bruised", she initially went home after the accident but was subsequently taken to hospital as her condition deteriorated and was informed that she had gone into renal failure and been given four days to live.[137][138] She was later discharged.[139] Giuffre's family said the bus driver "had a bus full of distraught children and left the scene to get them back, saying he would file a police report".[140] Western Australia police confirmed that on 25 March 2025, they received a report from the bus driver of a minor crash involving a car and a bus near Perth on 24 March 2025, but that no injuries had been reported.[141][142] Giuffre died by suicide at her home in Neergabby, Western Australia, on April 25, 2025, at the age of 41.[3][143] Her father at first accepted the alleged cause of death as suicide, but on May 1 said he thought that "somebody got to her".[144] Giuffre's Australia-based attorney Karrie Louden said she believed that Giuffre's death was not "suspicious in any way".[145] At the time, the BBC noted that "there is still much that is not known about Ms Giuffre's last days or her personal circumstances."[146] Edited: 2025-10-31 04:28:37
